about
I originally created the skeleton of the song back in 2015 on my iPod touch. After 7 years of slowly accumulating musical gear and creating my own home studio, I was able to finish the song in 2021, along with it's lyrics. This song is about my everlasting pull towards music and creating. For most of my adult life I had put music on the back burner while pursuing goals that were not where my heart was. And just like the lure of a siren, I always felt this inescapable pull to create and make music. After pushing away that desire for years, I've finally came to accept that I could no longer continue life denying what my soul and heart truly desires.
lyrics
I need a line that rides for me
Not drugs but a drum that drops, honey
I can feel it all over me
Like a heavy wave that's deep
I need a life that runs for me
Whether we'll be gone or I'll be
I need a line that rides for me
it can go for miles until I realize
I hear the Siren
Siren, Siren, Siren
I hear the Siren
Siren, Siren, Siren
I try the most to walk away
Something always got me wanting to stay (I'm all over it, I think I'm all over it)
Three strikes I'm always late
I can even barely think it straight (I'm all over it, I'm all over it)
I hear the Siren
Siren, Siren, Siren
I hear the Siren
Siren, Siren, Siren
I can hear it calling me, it's calling me away
An electric current pulling, pulling me in waves
I hear the Siren
Siren, Siren, Siren
I hear the Siren
Siren, Siren, Siren
I hear the song of a beautiful siren
I let the audible waves swallow me up
I hear the song of a beautiful siren
I lost the need to everything I have
Ahh
I hear the Siren
Siren, Siren, Siren
I hear the Siren
Siren, Siren, Siren
I can hear it calling me, It's calling me away
An electrifying current, it's pulling me in waves
Ahh
And I can't even fight it, it only goes to waste
And the atrophy conspires to luminate the way
Ahh
I hear the sound of a beautiful siren
I lost the need to everything I had
I can feel it calling me, I can feel it calling me
